Who We Are

Our
Mission & Values

Snuggle Sacks strives to bring awareness to homelessness in our communities, and extinguish the stigma that goes along with it.  By providing homeless individuals with survival kits, we hope to drastically reduce the amount of medical emergencies due to environmental factors, and also provide other helpful resources, including medical benefits, employment assistance and HOPE.

Our
History

August 2015

8 year old Addisyn, 10 year old Jaxson and 12 year old Sheridan Goss meet their grandfather for the first time, learning he had been homeless while estranged from the family.  Addisyn immediately starts researching ways to help this cause, and together they begin to implement.

September 2015

They decide they want to make some survival kits for the homeless and puts a request to family and friends for donations of supplies.  They receive enough help to make their first 50 sacks.

October 2015

Donations continue to pour in, and they are invited to speak on their first radio station.  Local businesses begin to contact them for ways to help, and they quickly make 100 more sacks.

2016

The Goss kids and their friends continue to make sacks and distribute them to various shelters and soup kitchens.  The generosity of people's support keeps Snuggle Sacks growing.

2017

Snuggle Sacks begins to average 200 sacks per month, and was featured in USA Today.

2018

Now averaging 500 sacks per month, the Tiny Pantry program is also started.  Snuggle Sacks was featured on the Today Show.

2019

Depending on the season, Snuggle Sacks now averages 800-1,200 sacks per month and welcomes groups to volunteer at their warehouse at least twice per week.  They have hit 17,000 sacks distributed from inception through the end of 2019.

Looking Ahead

Snuggle Sacks is a registered 501(C)(3) nonprofit.  The kids continue to provide updates to local radio and TV programs, and the support continues to grow.  With your help, Snuggle Sacks can continue to provide necessary items to the homeless in our communities, and teach others to do the same around the country.
